SOLUTION: Arizona State University Newtons Second Law for Rotation Worksheet.
Experiment 10
Newton’s Second Law for Rotation
Notes:
The experiment has not been shortened this week. The procedure has been modified.
Students now obtain the acceleration of the falling mass by reading several (six) values
of the slope of a tangent line from Logger Pro’s velocity versus time graph. A new
image file 10_4.pdf is available to give an example of the software used.
Data for at-a-distance students are found in an Excel file in Canvas > Modules > Exp
10 Files.
The video available in Canvas > Pages > View All Pages was produced in Fall 2020. In
the event that some data are quoted within the video, students should instead use the
values found in the Excel file.
